Additional details, like the machine's service history, can help the technician get to the root of the problem faster. Learn more about what to expect when you request mobile forklift repair.

Forklift Service and Mobile Repair

When someone calls to request service, the most important things we need to know are: the make, model and serial number, plus a description of the issue. For example:

- What problems are you experiencing?
- Do you have an idea what the issue might be? Does the lift truck have a history of breakdowns?
- How long has the problem been going on?
- Is the forklift operable?

The more details we have on what is happening with the equipment, the better-prepared the technician will be. The sooner the technician can identify and repair the issue, the sooner your equipment is back online.

What happens after you place a call for forklift service? After taking down some basic information, the dispatcher will give you the ETA for a technician to be on-site. The turnaround for most service calls is 24 hours. On rare occasions when we’re exceptionally busy - 48 hours.

When the forklift technician arrives, s/he will evaluate the equipment. They may want to speak with one of the operators for additional insight. The technician will advise you if parts are needed for the repair, provided a written estimate for the repair, and give you an idea how long the machine will be down. If needed, we can also arrange a rental forklift (or other replacement material handling equipment).

Planned maintenance is the best way to prevent unexpected forklift repairs - especially as the machine reaches 10,000+ hours.
